That's pushing it a bit though!!

I'd say any two of Brazil, Germany, Argentina.

One of these days Italy and Spain will show the World how good they really are but I don't think it'll be this one.

Ay ay captain but i think the Brazilians will never get too care-free about playing for their country like recent French and Italian teams. Repeat of 02 final for me if they're kept apart.
City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.

Brazil Vs. Germany if avoided throughout.

Could see Mexico surprising a few people. Maybe Mexico -v- Ivory Coast? Beats going for Brazil, Argentina etc. Hopefully Trinidad will take the cup to back where it belongs Anyone see the Ivory Coast v Italy last month? Ivory were unlucky not to win and could well be the dark horses along with Mexico

I'd love to invent a time machine then go back in time and win the lottery, buy new players and a stadium. Time machines are brilliant aren't they- Ian Holloway

The two holding players they use are absolute quality. Zakora has been linked with the scum and Arsenal and Yapi Yapo looked great too. A move to a big club awaits for both after the world cup if not in january

Mexico will do well as long as they keep Blanco off the squad and if they avoid the US who have their number in the later rounds. I'm guessing a quarter-final for the Mexicans and after that, who the hell knows.

Zokora plays for St. Etienne. In French footballing terms it don't get much bigger then that.

England have beaten 4 teams of decent quality in the last year or so: Poland, Argentina, USA, Colombia. With the exception of Poland, the other 3 games they played an actual holding midfielder (Carrick or King). They look so much better with a holding midfielder and are just above average without one. If Sven doesn't play a holding midfielder England are going out early. If he does they have a chance. He won't. Seriously, I can't believe England are lower odds than Italy.

Brazil are my big bet, I'm on Italy too. Both teams are much, much better than England.

Funny enough having looked at the draw, I have a feeling its the Dutch! And in an equally shocking prediction, I think the Ukraine will go far and make the final. Serbia to make the semi's with Italy.
Here they come! It’s the charge of the “Thanks” Brigade!

I reckon Marcello Lippi is going to do the business with Italy.
