    I don't think they are. It was a mistake from the PA guy I assume. It amused the Drogheda fans around me no end!

    It's cause they are technically a seperate club. They were founded under another name in the late 1980's and came under the wing of Oriel Park during one of the parent club's financial difficulties as far as I know.

    I think the point is that Dundalk isn't a city. Dundalk Town would be more apt.

    I think that at the time they were named Dundalk thought it was going to achieve City status - I guess thay jumped the gun a bit
