Although the Argentina squad is not set to be named until May 15th, planetfootball.com claims that Claudio Canigga will go to Japan and Korea instead of Javier Saviola.

Are the Argentinians mad?

They seem to have a haibt of appointing oddballs as managers- remember passarella wouldn't pick redondo and a few others cos they had long hair. Apparently he walked into the dressing room on his first day as boss and said "2 rules: no gays and no long hair." Can't believe he got away with that!
