Where are Dublin City playing next season? Will they get a premier licence for Whitehall?
Keely stays at Vikings' helm
SUCCESSFUL promotion boss Dermot Keely has confirmed that he will remain as manager of the Premiership new boys next season. Keely masterminded the club's first division campaign, culminating in their 3-2 two legged playoff success over Shamrock Rovers last week and a delighted chief executive Ronan Seery confirmed Keely as manager for next season thus ending speculation that he was to take over at Newry City. Said Keely of his decision to renew his contract with the Vikings: "I believe Dublin City has huge potential and we have the basis of a solid squad. I have an excellent chief executive to work with an I'm looking forward to the new season. We have lots of work to do, but we'll be ready for the challenge." Said Ronan Seery: "It's great news for the club. Dermot has proved himself as one of the best manager's in the game and this gives us great continuity going forward. We're looking to establish the club as a force in eircom League soccer and with Dermot as manager, we have the ideal individual to do so. "We have to significantly increase our budget but we have some great sponsors on board and we'll looking to add to our portfolio. We are very ambitious here and we're beginning to attract in fans. We will look to copper fasten our budget and then concentrate on retaining our Premier division status for next season to give us a platform going forward. We've learned from our experience from our last time in the Prermier Division and I believe we'll be a much stronger club as a result next season

Always look on the bright side of life
AFAIK It's almost certainly Whitehall. The issue of seats will need to be addressed but hopefully both parties will be able to strike a deal that I feel would be hugely beneficial for both sides.
On reflection also, I'm glad that Keely is staying. He'll be able to sort the wheat from the chaff of the 2005 team and hopefully with double the budget and Premier status he should be able to attract the handfull of quality players needed at the next level. Let the gossip begin, can't wait!![]()
P.S Makes Roddy's "We don't even know if Dermot Keely will be in the dugout come the playoffs" remark all the more enjoyable.I hear there's a vacancy in Newry Rodders!!

I knew it! Seery talks to himself. First sign of madness and all that.Originally Posted by Maynard

sweet sweet news. I cannot wait to see the reception the filthbag gets on his return to the Brandywell.
He watched us play in Tolka in 2004 and was seen after the match. He started to look in windows and go into shops to avoid city fans.
"The Derry fans were fantastic in both matches. They sang their hearts out all the time and created an even better atmosphere than the Cup Final. They were brilliant. - David Graham, Gretna striker
Well let me tell you Mr, I have a felling Dublin City will not be the whipping boys that most non believers think. I cannot wait to see the farewell he gets when he masterminds a win in the Brandywell.Originally Posted by Speranza

The only way the tosspot will mastermind a win is if points are awarded for defensive puke football smothering another teams natural attacking ethos.![]()
