LOL! Coming from a club with ronan "we'll be in the European Super League" seery in charge keep the jokes coming.

The news about them having to share with the GAA and anyone else who wants to play in the ground in Tallaght just tops it all off.. Think I might set up a monster truck club in Tallaght and apply to use the pitch..
Congrats your first post proves how obsessed and wrong you are. Come back soon!

I think he means they are big supported clubs who have brought home major titles but also who have also fallen from the top division and not on how much they have won. Forest are currently the worst positioned former european champions when it comes to the local leagues.

ALL we generate is negative publicity? Oh dear. We played Weymouth earlier this season and handed over the gate receipts to them cos one of their players' daughters was dying. We provide dozens of underage teams in Tallght that benefit the kids there. We gave your club money when you were in trouble which was kindly reciprocated this summer.

Keep reading the herag. Stay in strabangladesh with those opinions.

    Step 1 - Walk into Junction 15.

    Step 2 - Find a Harps fan.

Step 3 - Ask him or her about Rovers.

Step 4 - Find out the history between the 2 clubs.

Step 5 - Find out who your friends are.

Step 6 - Realise your mistake.

    See you next year.

There was a piece in the Indo yesterday stating that the top 5 clubs in the league in 1980 -

    Limerick
    Dundalk
    Athlone
    Shamrock
    Finn

    - will all be in the first division next season. Something for Cork, Derry and Shels to watch out for...

Well that's a shame. The mutual respect works both ways. We gave a dig out during your bad times (98 I think) and relations have always been great between the two clubs and the two sets of fans. You're welcome to your views, misguided as they are.

I know you are Strabanese but you should really learn how to spell before giving abuse. A Ha**s fan saying Rovers provide nothing to the league is the only thing I have laughed at in this thread.
"The Derry fans were fantastic in both matches. They sang their hearts out all the time and created an even better atmosphere than the Cup Final. They were brilliant. - David Graham, Gretna striker

IMHO a much poorer league without rovers and their fans. I have met a number of them over the years and enjoyed the banter. Hopefully you can get the Tallaght thing back on track soon. If that can happen I can see a similar rise again like Derry's in the late 80's. Hope both Harps and Rovers come back next year.

Had you included Dalymount & it would have been far easier to 'spot the odd one out', as none of the list above will have parts of it sold off piece by piece to fund delusions of grandeur!

Oh come on DvB it was a ridiculous comparison
all the above stadiums while being municipal are all huge stadiums which are regularly sold out and/or used for major international/european matches/finals (except C.S. Tallaghfornia) whats wrong with selling a condemed terrace any way it's a lot better than selling a whole fcuking stadium and being nomadic for more than a decade

Just remind me of the score in Finn Harps first ever League of Ireland game and I'll give you a hint: it was against Rovers ? 1 (no), 2 (no) 3(no) 4(no) 5(no) 6(no) against Harps - keep going upwards.
