The Dublin player pool merry-go-round starts. I expect Bray will also take a few Rovers players & onwards...
Promoted Dublin City have bolstered their squad for the 2006 campaign by swooping for four players over the weekend.
The Vikings sealed the final spot in next season’s Premier Division line-up with victory over Shamrock Rovers in the recent promotion/relegation play-off.
They acted quickly to tie manager Dermot Keely to a new deal, and Keely has wasted no time in strengthening his squad.
In comes right back Damien Brennan from Derry City, midfielders Gavin McDonnell and Paul Crowley from Shams and Waterford United respectively and striker Ger McCarthy from Dundalk.
Crowley returns to the Vikings after a season at the RSC while former Shelbourne and St Patrick’s Athletic forward McCarthy struck 12 league goals for Dundalk in the First Division in 2005.
Keely is happy with his first transfer market forays, and remains hopeful of adding more players to his squad over the winter months.
He told the club’s official website: “I’m delighted with the players I have signed to date. I’ve spoken to several more quality players and I’m very optimistic that I’ll be in a position to announce several more exciting signings for the club.
"We’ve very ambitious here at Dublin City and I believe that we can make our presence felt in the Premier Division. We have some very talented players on board and we’re looking to establish ourselves as a Premier Division force."

I do know yer name. It's Shamrock Rovers but I'm not going to type that out the whole time so I shortened it to Shams, that a problem? Just like ye'd just call us Sligo, not our full name, Sligo Rovers. I'm hardly gonna call ye Rovers now am I?Originally Posted by NY Hoop
Just like ye wouldn't call us it either
Yes, it was a lotto machine(if you can call that a signing). Did you not know that?Originally Posted by NY Hoop

that we've gone and won two-in-a-row
and it's not gonna be three
and it's not gonna be four
it's more likely to be 5-1.
EVERYONE knew it except you. Hard to believe you beat out millions of other sperm!Originally Posted by sligoman
