England V Ireland at Wembley 1985

    Hi,

Does anyone have any video footage of this game or know where I might get some? It's a bit obscure I know but I thought I'd ask just in case!

    Thanks
    Emmet

the 2-0 defeat ? Gary Lineker's first goal for England (?) ..little dink over Packie. Best bet is if someone has it on VHS who is able to transfer over to digital file .. good luck anyway

It was 2-1. I was at the game. We did not play well but huge Irish support.

    It was 2-1.
    Although our goal was late.
I was at it too. Only about 35,000 at the game.
    Old terraces at Wembley.
Bit of all that rushing & running stuff. Fun at the time.

Barry McGuigan fought later on that night in wembley arena.

    Mad night later in Kilburn.

Liam Brady scored three minutes from the end, after a good build up between himself and Stapleton, but it was a soft enough goal which Gary Bailey let slip.
Honest! I am not a secret Tim nor a closet Sham - I really am a Seagull.
