Dyer- out, Gerrard- doubtful

England manager Sven Goran Eriksson held a press conference this morning to announce that Kieran Dyer is out for 4 weeks, thus ruling him out of the World cup. Dyer was stretchered off during Newcastles defeat to Southampton yesterday. Liverpools Danny Murphy has now been called into the squad.
Eriksson also announced that Steven Gerrard will travel to see a specialist in Belgium tomorrow, if he needs to be operated on he will miss the world cup. West Ham's Trevor Sinclair has been placed on standby.

Well i think you can almost guarantee a heavy tackle on Beckham in the first few minutes of his return game.
