There's actually 3 months of the season left in Switzerland and he is gone to a team there for the remainder of the season. I dont think he has any plans made yet for after that.Originally Posted by sligoman
I know he does be on this site, so Damo if you get to read this, thanks for your contribution to Utd last season and (forgive me if my French isnt that good) La bonne chance dans Suisse

Just to let you know lads I talk to Damien regularly and he is going to Switzerland to be close to home. He would love to return to Terryland one day and he told me to say all the best to all the Galway United supporters who have been so good to him.
Au Revoir Damo and thanks for everything,
Aaron

Has anyone heard about the lad from barbados? I was asking some past and present players if they heard of anything and they didnt hear about anybody else joining for next season.
is due to come in late January/early February this will be confirmed when Eric gets back from his christmas break. As far a s I know talks are ongoing with Fran so if you see a few words of encouragment in his ear might not go amiss. I cant see us signing many more players as Stephen had targeted the players he has signed although if Fran Doesnt sign we could be in the market for one or two more.
Its time for people to start drving the season tickets by encouraging Mates,Family and work colleagues to buy one.Ronan and his band of volunteers have done a great job its up to the rest of us to keep it going.
but it didnt get through the new vetting system. When dis this start.
...Is off too America so that's him gone AFAIK.He isnt going till April so he may play with us for a while....anybody know?

for a year. Its a pity but his form apart from the end of last season was terribly inconsistent and just when he looks like getting back to his best he heads off.If he was really interested in his football he should have really given it a go this season as I believe he has what it takes to go further but like many other gifted players he probably lacks the commitment to do it.
Enjoy your year John.
anybody meet the lads from barbados yet? or has he even arrived?
havent met him but allegedly he looks very young.
is Richard Levine. He arrived in Galway on Tuesday 10th January for a trial period. He has four international caps and is related to Eric. He is 18/19.

Lally still searching for new blood
Galway United manager Stephen Lally is expected to make more acquisitions ahead of the new season.
Ryan O'Donnell, Ciaran Foley, Stevie Gavin, and the prodigious Alan Murphy have all signed for United, who currently have Bajan international Michael Lavine on trial.
Lavine, a cousin of United centre forward Eric, arrived in Galway last week and has participated in a number of training sessions. The teenage midfielder who comes to Ireland with a favourable reputation has been capped four times by the Caribbean Island and will be monitored by manager Stephen Lally during the next few weeks.
Lavine will hope to become the fifth Barbados international to play for the club, following in the footsteps of his cousin Eric, Luther Watson, Ryan Lucas, and Llewlyn Riley who all featured in the maroon shirt in recent years.
Frannie Carter, the cultured former United player, has been linked with a move to Terryland Park, but has yet to sign a contract, while Ryan Casey is currently in Australia and is expected to miss the start of the season.
Another thoughtful footballer, John Russell, has not signed yet and a player of his ability is likely to attract many suitors in the domestic game. United followers will be extremely disappointed if the club fail to net Russell's signature in the coming weeks as the Moycullen student offers the team a neat passing threat in the centre of the park.
heard during the week that Sean Connor, of Sligo Rovers, is trying to buy out Alan Keanes contract with us and get him to join them! Anyone else here this?![]()
