With worldpay, they take the money directly off your cc. You don't have to join anything.
I've sold stuff on ebay using a paypal account and its quite easy. Worldpay will not process transactions for just anyone.

Paypal charge the end user (seller) a percentage of the transaction total, as indeed do credit card companies, and this is usually the main reason for hate. I am not sure what percentage they charge these days.
Fairly small, thinks its 1.5%
Its the only way I'll pay for anything on ebay tbh.
