No, with paypal and bidpay you have to have an account with them and then you pay money into that acount and they pay the vendor.

With worldpay, they take the money directly off your cc. You don't have to join anything.

I've sold stuff on ebay using a paypal account and its quite easy. Worldpay will not process transactions for just anyone.

Ordinarily, if you want to accept credit cards, you need a special bank account called a merchant account. PayPal and the like negate this to a degree on the Internet.

Some dealers on eBay absolutely hate paypal. There's a dealer on eBay called Spinnerdoctor who despises them.

Paypal charge the end user (seller) a percentage of the transaction total, as indeed do credit card companies, and this is usually the main reason for hate. I am not sure what percentage they charge these days.

Its the only way I'll pay for anything on ebay tbh.
