    McTiernan's was the best imo.

Something I noticed, aloy of the goals were against us. We may have conceded the most but you have to score great ones.

Zayeds goal should not have been anywhere near the list, good goal but not a patch on some of the others.

McCourts strike against Harps was imo the best of the season.

Where were Alan Murphys goals against Drogheda? Just because it was the first game of the season they've forgotten about them already. The 2 of them were better than half of the goals shown last night.

What is going to happen here now is everyone is going to split their vote over McCourts goals and the next best will win it.

So what is the fourth best goal ??
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

I'd go with McCourts second against us.

Our defending was definitely poor for the first one, so that takes away from it a bit.
But the second one he turned five of our players inside out - not poor defending as such, just sheer class from him. And the strike was perfectly placed from a reasonable distance and angle - if you look he didnt need to hit it particualry hard cos the placement was perfect.

as usual though, it doesnt feel like this list is a true 'goal of the season' list, cos there were some absolute crackers scored at matches that they didnt bother sending cameras to

How true. This needs to be sorted out for next season. EVERY premier game should have a camera present.

Ok, but I was talking about Flannery's "wonder goal" in the 1-1 draw in the Showgies. I cant really remember McT's goal in the 4-1 game, anyone know will the goals be shown again sometime?.

I think John O'Flynn's goal against Drogs a few weeks ago should win Dan Conner helped us win the league, now thats irony!

I think Harps used to tape their games and send them in not sure if this was tihs season or last), but they were never used, so they stopped bothering. That's the sort of thing we're up against. Particularly annoying as I reckon a good highlights show is more important than regular live action.

McT was over towards the Jinks Avenue end of the ground . he turned and hit it from 30 yards it flew in!
The game was on a Friday was the same game Sean Flannery nearly scored with a great bicycle kick

Some cracking goals alright, my top three would be as follows:

    1. Goal D McCourt v Bray
    2. Goal E McCourt v Bray
    3. Goal G McTiernan V Galway
The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses - behind the lines, in the gym, and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights.

Was Wes Hoolahan's wonder goal versus Drogheda in the 3-3 draw not in it?
I thought that was one of the best this season.

I though Richie Baker's goal agianst Bray was class. Brilliant set up by Byrne, even better finish by Baker. But I'd still have it second behind McCourt's goal -v- Harps

Yep, they'd be my top two as well, and in that order. For third place I'd go for McCourts 2nd v Bray, the dribble and side foot finish. Someone mentioned Alan Murphy for Derry v Drogs, and I seem to remember that was a screamer alright.
Winner is announced next Monday on Sports tonight by the way.

We are the same, we have to send the tapes to them. Feck all shown from Flancare this season whether we stopped sending the tapes or they just didnt show them, I dont know

    Nope still L.

Even though I was right behind McCourt's second against Bray I still wouldn't put it past that shot. Ronaldinho could try that shot on a training pitch and miss it 9.5 times out of 10..

Tell all the Bohs you know
that we've gone and won two-in-a-row
and it's not gonna be three
and it's not gonna be four
it's more likely to be 5-1.

2nd McCourt goal v Bray. the dribble was brilliant, two bray players falling over each other, and the finish was sublime, he just passed it around a defender and the keeper and into the bottom corner
    class
