Will ye be sending a team into it yerselves Gary?. Sure if ye win then it's good money going back into the trust .
The Bit O’Red Supporters Trust are organising a ‘Trust 7’s Christmas Blitz’ that will be held on Saturday 10th of December from 3pm – 8pm on The Showgrounds new all weather pitch.
The prize money in this winner take all competition is quite substantial at €500 euro. The competition is being limited to 20 teams so make sure you take this chance to register your team at the earliest possible time.
Each team will consist of a panel of ten, seven players and three subs. (used on a rolling basis). The cost of entry is €100 per team, just €10 euro per player. To register your team, call Gary on 086-1700687 or email info@thebitored.org. This competition is open to everyone who plays any level of football, provided they are over 16. Entry fee to be paid immediately upon entry into the competition.
There will also be a penalty competition on the day for people of all ages, so why not come along and try your luck from the penalty spot. (against a 'keeper we hope to get in. To be confirmed)
All proceeds will go to Sligo Rovers Football Club. The competition will be run over one evening and there will be an after match reception to present the winning team with their prize and provide everyone with some refreshments.
Will ye be sending a team into it yerselves Gary?. Sure if ye win then it's good money going back into the trust .

Calum Kasturson maybe?young prospect from AZ.
just a reminder that if you intend to register a team, then please do so as quickly as possible. the sooner teams get registered the more we can get done before the event itself. there's a good bit to do so having teams in early would be a big help.
Also if anyone would like to help out on the day, then volunteers are more than welcome.
So, is there 20 teams registered for the Tournament? What will the format be? and any word on the goalkeeper for the penalty shoot-out? Thanks
is the trust entering a team??
can i take down the posters now gary??
or will i extend the date
It is with sincere regret and disappointment that the trust must inform you that the football tournament schedule to be held this Saturday December 10th 2005 has now been called off.
This decision owes to an issue surrounding insurance of the event to be held on the Sligo Rovers All-Weather pitch. It came to light only a few days ago that the insurance policy held by Sligo Rovers would not cover this trust organised event.
Since learning of this, the trust has been doing all it could to find a way to ensure that the event would go ahead. There has been lengthy consolation with Sligo Rovers and despite the best efforts of the club to try to find a solution to accommodate the event, we could not find a solution as the deadline to make a decision came and went.
It is most regrettable that this event has gone by the wayside, as lot of work was put into this by the trust. Generous sponsors came forward to sponsor the event and to these we apologise for this lost opportunity. We must also apologise to those who put in the effort to register teams and a special thanks to people that were travelling to Sligo for the weekend especially for this event. Teams who have not already been notified will be as soon as possible.
The trust aims to hold this competition at some point in the future and we are fully determined to make it a big success.
