    Talking Mick the adman

    Anyone noticed Mick McCarthy trying to out do Jack Charlton with the sheer number of products he advertising.

    I can't remember them all but got;
    Cuisine de France (or some other bread maker)
    Mitsubishi Black Diamond tvs.
    Some financial/loan company.
    Bord Gais
    eircom?

    anyone add to that?

    IMO best sports sponsership ever was Steven Roche & calvita cheese

    I think he's in a very tacky pot noodle ad as well

    Someone called into a radio show last week & asked "...if the FAI paid Mick McCarthy because he'd seen him on all those tacky ads..."

    indeed.

    btw not unlucky enough to see/hear the pot noodle one. I think can get that list to 10.

    Pot Noodle

    He's not in an ad for Pot Noodles as far as I know. In that desperate ad for some financial institution, Mick has trouble ordering food in a Japanese restaurant, so much so that hilarity ensues at the end when he is served a pot noodle. Something like that anyway. Christ, it was funny alright, the funniest bit was when he actually ate some of the Pot Noodle. Good to see that Mick was willing to suffer for his few quid.

    What's a pot noodle got to do with a financial insitution?

    A bemused Mick has trouble with the traditional chopsticks and noodles, so the waitress brings him a pot noodle with a fork in it
