I think its great news as always been a serious pain to have to stop for 60-90 minutes for idiotic reason. Its like saying all Dublin Cork buses have to stop in Portlaoise.
Airlines will still fly to Shannon as there is demand for it for at least won't be forced to.

Still no reason to have Shannon Stop over. Makes no sense & surely illegal under european law.
On the one hand it's hard to defend the stopeover on environmental grounds -which is usually my primary criteria. Jumbo jets should not be taking off and landing at 120 mile intervals.
On the other hand It is also hard to justify the further centering of resources in our fragrant capital.
I think this governments intentions toward Shannon -and in fact the entire mid west region were made perfectly clear within their Transport 21 garbage.
