Funny because there are three parties going for it and an anouncement will be made on Monday from Windsor avenue. In the running are Asda, Irish Star or the Uni.Originally Posted by 1 9 2 8

It's official. The Carnegie Irish League. It does however make up the queer name by making the league 25% more over three years than the Daily Mirror. The deal with them was £120,000 over three seasons, this will be £150,000. Not bad, the league could certainly do with any extra dosh.
What the feck's the Carnegie ??
New sponsor gives youth its chance

A new youth tournament for Irish League clubs will today be announced as part of the Irish Premier League's new sponsorship deal with Leeds Metropolitan University, with a unique prize in store for the winners of the competition.
As revealed in Saturday morning's Belfast Telegraph, the educational establishment has agreed a three-year package to back the Premier League and the full details of the deal - understood to be worth in the region of £150,000 in total - will be revealed today.
The youth tournament is expected to involve all 16 Premier League clubs and there is a treat in store for the winning team.
It is understood they will be invited to train at the University's Sports Institute with possible sessions with the Leeds United Academy also included.
The Premier League will carry the name of Leeds Met's Sports Institute, meaning the competition will now be known as the Carnegie Irish Premier League.
After coming in for heavy criticism when the league season started without a sponsor on-board, the league can be congratulated as more money will be pumped into the game with the youth tournament included.
Carnegie...does this mean every Irish League ground will have it's own library?![]()
