Anyone able to tell me about the man that was hit by a car outside the Welcome Inn in Limassol on the night of the Irish game? I was across the road in Tipsy's when the incident happened. I know that the driver was arrested and I heard that the person was brain dead. I thought a bomb went off when I heard the bang and I looked over to see something flung 10 feet into the air.
I was staying in Limassol to and heard that a man had been knocked down. A taxi driver told us that a taxi man had been arrested but when i got back home and spoke to people they didnt hear anything about the incident so i dont know what happened to the poor man and just presumed that it had been a rumour when nobody else heard anything.
I was in Limassol too and heard it was a local man knocked down and killed.
If it had been an Irish Supporter it would have been in the Irish news
