Jeez lads, I thought somebody would have the answer (or a version of the answer)
By clicking onto the Limerick FC website, I saw that the club crest has been changed again. That would be about the third time in 10 years? I remember one which had the treaty stone on the crest, and the following had "Commitment to Excellence" (!!) written on it. And now it has changed again. Can anybody fill me in as to why? Was it changed by Danny Drew as part of his "takeover"?
In a way I suppose a new crest is a small price to pay if it is part of an injection of cash, but I cant think of any other club which has changed its crest so often. (I'm sure that other posters will have some examples)
But also, I think that a club crest should be respected, and not just changed at a whim. It is supposed to represent the club and the history.
