My hazy memory is that he was dropped for the 1st half of the season, then got injured in August.
But im open play have you never noticed that he has the nack of always being in the right place at the right time?Originally Posted by eirebhoy

. When I said O'Hara is going un-noticed I meant with most Premier Division fans. I know most fans of other FD clubs can see he's a top goalie but very few fans in the Premier would have seen him yet so he is going un-noticed. Dundee United were interested in signing him earlier this season, dont know if other Scottish clubs were

having seen most teams in both divisions this year, i think the best keepers in the league are
Darren Quigley, Mick Devine, Cullen (Finn Harps), John O'Hara (Sligo Rovers) & James Gallagher has been outstanding since joining Dublin City, except for one blip, he has been as reliable as muck.
Quigley and Murphy are both very impressive, and have great futures ahead of them, but Devine is by far the best in the league. I wasn't his biggest fan when he first joined us, but he's got better and better. He's totally consistent, doesn't make mistakes and some of the stops he's pulled off in Europe over the past two seasons have been breathtaking. Short of Given, he's the best keeper available to Ireland right now IMO.
Devine made a serious error against Harps when he gifted them a goal. Paddy Kenny is clearly of a higher standard than Devine.
"The Derry fans were fantastic in both matches. They sang their hearts out all the time and created an even better atmosphere than the Cup Final. They were brilliant. - David Graham, Gretna striker
You people really do live on another planetShort of Given, he's the best keeper available to Ireland right now IMO
Was thinking the same thing but then that's his opinion so leave him to it I supposeOriginally Posted by sfc red

As usual, these discussions are difficult because (1) you usually only see other teams' 'keepers 2 or 3 times a seaon at most and (2) club loyalty makes peoples' views inbalanced.
Kildare County had the Kildare GAA Under-21 'keeper in goals against us earlier this season and he was outstanding. Absolutely superb. Had a good game in Monaghan a couple of weeks ago too. (Until Foyser lobbed him from the halfway line)
O'Hara from Sligo played well in Monaghan earlier this season too.
It is true kickR, iHo.
Unless you've a portal inside the head of Eanna and can reveal his secret self-denial and love for Dan Connor.
City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.

G.O'Mahoney Trapattoni'll sort ém out!!
Michael Devine tbh
Kom Igen, FCK...
Devine... the best keeper in the league for a good 10 years. Going back to his time with Waterford - who paid a record 5-figure sum to take him from Cobh (in pounds and about 9 seasons ago). In our first season up last time around he virtually kept us up on his own as he kept 7 or 8 clean sheets in a row as we won every game to finish out the season and lift us up to about 5th from bottom spot. Naturally, he was always prone to one or two howlers per season in the best Peter Schmiechel tradition. Super keeper, super keeper. Much respect.
Devine looked very dodgey on both occassions when we played this season so i personally can't see how he is the best around for 10 years.Originally Posted by Dick Long
