Interesting Don Givens is way down the list @ 40/1 - shows how sh!te his record is that not considered a candidate. If any other International team vacancy came up the U21 manager would be automatically amoung the the probably candidates.
Fantastic job? What does his job consist of? He's certainly not an underage manager. He does a bit of scouting, I know that.Originally Posted by WeAreRovers

He does more than a bit of scouting. He is Head of Youth Development and Academy Director and is well respected by Wenger.Originally Posted by eirebhoy

Always had a lot of time for Brady. Super player and a good analyst, (the only one to put manners on Dunphy at times) However his attitude to Brian Kerr has really disappointed me. Very quick to slag him off, and seemingly has all the answers, but then doesn't have the courage of his convictions to actually go for the job. As Kerr correctly pointed out on the Late Late Show, Brady's own managerial record isn't exactly covered in glory.
exactly .. it's the bookies messing. Slashing odds on someone, creates hype .. people are convinced there must be something in the story and place money without thinking.Originally Posted by geysir
I, and I'm sure many other here was lucky to get Kerr at 16/1 last time round. An obvious candidate will emerge, and Brady is certainly not one of them.
Today's Telegraph has an interesting photo of Brady.

At the bottom of this page there's a column called Inside View. Within that "Who will replace Brian Kerr" there's a series of photos of candidates to replace Kerr. The last one is Brady wearing an FAI tracksuit with the new logo (so obviously it's from September 1994 onwards).
Can anyone tell me what the occasion was?

He's Head of Youth Development. A wee bit more than "underage manager" I would have thought.Originally Posted by eirebhoy
The point remains the same though - the Ireland job is part-time, badly-paid, with crappy players and terrible bosses etc etc. Nobody in their right mind would take it. Which means Roddy's a shoe-in.![]()

The reason I asked you what his job was wondering how you knew he was doing a fantastic job.Originally Posted by WeAreRovers

It looks to me that it is at Tolka Park. I remember last year there was a Johnny Giles select against some Sky one team or something like that, and it was played at Tolka Park. Its a recent enough pic as its the new FAI Logo. If I was a betting man I woudl go for a
Johnny Giles Select V the Keith Duffy Select or something along those lines.

There you go there is a few pics from it, and it confirms Brady was wearing that tracksuit that day.
