Threw €25 on George Graham @ 40/1. He has a good record, can't accept transfer bungs in this position and is available without any compo payment to any other club or association.![]()
Unfortunately, Troussier who was 40/1 last week, is now only 20/1 with Powers, and only 14/1 with Betfair....this is potentially terrible.![]()

I wouldn't mind Troussier tbh. I'm suprised the odds are still fairly high. He's the only person to come out and say he's interested and Delaney likes him.
Yeah Troussier was in the running the last time before Kerr took over and I would have been happy for him to get the job the last time so I would be equally happy if he got it this time. He has international experience and is a tactically astute manager. It is slightly strange that his odds are so long.
i think the bookies will be shortening the odds on everyone to cover themselves
What has Troussier ever done. Last I heard he nearly relegated Marseille & was sacked. Every unemployed manager in the north hemisphere will be linked with the job now. Great opportunity fior newpapers to fill papers full of idiotic speculation.
I don't think Troussier would be so bad either. Japan played excellent football under him. I'd prefer him by a mile over Dalglish, Robson, Bruce etc.
I hope the FAI have been making contact already and got feedback from the proper candidates....in my opinion only o'neill, fergie, keane and aldrisge shoudl be entertained ....fook the rest right off
Nah, Marseille have high standards. He took over them at the end of 2004 and finished 5th, 2 goals behind Rennes. From BBC:Originally Posted by pete

what about ranieri? could get the duffer to play like he used to

He might also stick him on the bench for every 2nd game.Originally Posted by as_i_say

I heard Ranieri may be taking over at Parma soon.
The next manager will not be selected by the FAI he will be selected by Johnny D. like Kerr was shafted by him and the Irish Mrdia who have reached a lower point than even the English press pack. How can one man get away with what this man has done and not one journo or paper has the balls to stand up to him.
Merrion Square might as well move to waterford as he is calling all the shots now and is far more dangerous and vindictive than any previous CEO.
Delaney has all the power now (plenty hiuding the long grass to get him later though) & the public or government doesn't have much time for another FAI dispute so Delaney is here for a while now.
Surely Don Givens should also be cast aside with this get FAI clearout? Sad his odds are so short...

Three Jobs, would be difficlut for him at the momentOriginally Posted by Blutel
Anyway the best manager for me, would be Bryan Robson, he has proved it at Boro' and at West Brom has a done a job nobody thought he could of. I would take him like a shot right now.
I heard that the FAI said that they could wait till August to appoint a manager, why, the manager needs to know about the teams for the draw in Jan, so he can start his job finding out about them. I hope they do get the man in by December at least for that reason.
Proven? Serial relegation manager. Only missed relegation again by total fluke last year. Had to get his mate Venables to help him at 'boro they were sinking so fast. Not for me.Originally Posted by TheBoss
Hiddink is the outstanding candidate in theory. Maybe if the Aussies lose to Uruguay again, but even still we'd only have a part-time manager as I can't see us being able to compete with PSV.
Would like to see hiddink take the job but don't think he will. i think the only other two viable options would be o'neill as number one choice and troussier as a distant secondOriginally Posted by Stuttgart88
