Good stuff! Though we'll have to clean up your spelling and punctuation after slagging so many others!![]()
STIGonline has been updated. New stuff:
Still some minor issues with punctuation marks not appearing, but they're confined to the club pages now, I think.
- Reaction to the launch of STIGonline.com (below).
- Hardcore Championship updated.
- Eircom League Profiles:- Home F... Dublin City added.
- A couple of new AERTELwatch entries.
- Directions to Premier League grounds added. First division sides will just have to get promoted if they want coverage.
- Some pictures of merchandise in the shop. Still no spyware or Paypal though, we’re sorry to say.
- Substantial update of the links section.
- Still no Belfieldian!

I know. Damn writing in a word processor has atrophied my spelling abilities. At least I care!Originally Posted by pineapple stu

- A milestone achieved: it’s STIG’s 50th issue! We set the record for issues of a League of Ireland fanzine back with our 23rd issue and we're still going strong.
- Mick O'Donnell wins the UCD Hardcore Championship. Again. This in spite of starting the season with -3 points to make it fair and us threatening to disqualify him if he got suspended at any stage in the season. The man’s a Belfield Park legend.
- Congratulations to Pat McWalter for finishing as UCD’s top scorer in the league.
- Eircom League Profiles:- Dundalk and Finn Harps added.
- Profile of Damien Richardson added.
- There are a couple of new AERTELwatch entries. We figure that given enough time, they'll reach a critical mass and start emailing themselves in letters of complaint to the morons in charge of it.
- Appearances [excel file]. Every player who’s played over 100 games for the college, plus everyone who has played for the club since the late ninties. Nor garuanteed 100% accurate, but pretty close. This monumental pile of UCD data is the work of Kevin Burke.
- A new Tony Cares added! In the Tony Cares series, UCD captain Tony McDonnell turns agony aunt and solves your problems. Real Tony Mac slightly bemused by us.
- Still no Belfieldian! Thank whatever deity you pray to and toss some salt over your right elbow.
- The word of the closed season:- this season’s word is, “schadenfreude.” For any Rovers fans reading this (there’s bound to be one), that means “Rovers relegated.”

Various clubs' reactions to the Dundalk history from the Monaghan forum...
We've a few new (as in recycled from the fanzine) articles up now. I highly recommend "STIG Investigates the Genesis Report" and "STIG Launches new visual identity" to any eL fan who hasn't read them. The first is serious, looking at some serious issues with the Genesis Report's assumptions and data, while the second is a parody of the whole reinvention of the league.
Also, some vague plan is in place to update on the second Tuesday of every month.

We've updated again. Notably, the articles section has been totally revamped, with a number of articles from this volume of STIG put online, Monaghan's alternative history is up, the UCD section has a number of new additions and the fanzine page has been rounded out.

Had a look at the update .Nice one.
Bump.
Any news?
Off-season doesn't count, right?I'm pretty busy getting our other publication ready before Bunratty, so it'll be a little while longer Kev.
The rest of those UCD News issues should be up soon - I just have to finish typing up the index. Poor Student is working on a quick 2006 season review article, and I still have those player profiles sitting on my hard drive like a small folder of guilt. I'll get around to them soon.

Also we recently added an update on Stigonline's nominations for the Irish Blog Awards.

Any chance of getting outside links to open in a new window?

I've seen it done. Can't remember the website but do recall thinking "ooh that's handy".
I really hate sites that open into new windows, especially Sports Illustrated's one as it's main headline stories will only open in either the current tab or a new window, even if you right click as it removes the new tab option.
