I know you can get updates from the site with the rss feed address:

But is there anyway to just get a specific thread or forum?

Posts aren't syndicated, so no to specific threads, but you can select a single forum or multiple forums like this:

http://foot.ie/external.php?type=rss&forumids=14
http://foot.ie/external.php?type=rss...ds=14,36,30,80
