Rico. Please don't laugh at my choice.
If we persist with a 26 counties only side I'd second that motion.Originally Posted by Soper

Roy, of course.
But there's **** all chance of that happening.
It will probably be Bryan Robson.
I would go for Martin O Neill..let the powers that be worry about getting him..no 2nd rate managers anymore..
The only problem I could see with Rico is that some of the prim-donnas in the squad might have trouble accepting him as a coach, and also I'd be afraid that, talented coach as he is, he might go the same way as Kerr.
I think he'd be a better option than David O'Leary though..
i would love martin o neill, but won't happen, he's on nurse duty. i really don't know, can't think straight at all right now![]()
Listening to Kerr after the match he sounds like a man who is fed up with the press, and who can blame him. Dunne wants him to stay on and the players do seem to respect him so maybe he will stay.
Do you think the FAI would look outside Ireland and England for a manager?
Yeah, what about Big Phil Scolari.
brine3
Now you're talking, or a coach from ex-Yugoslavia
How organised are the FAI for this whole process ??
Micko Mac wasn't even in the final pool of managers to be interviewed when he got the job. I think he was given the job in the que at McDonalds or something like that !!
What will it be like this time round ??
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
Oh the Genesis Report will sort all that don't you know!![]()
An Argentinian or Brasilian or Eastern European........ no more EPL/SPL/EL sh!!te.
Gotta be D'OL for me
JERRY: But are you still master of your domain?
GEORGE: I am king of the county. You?
JERRY: Lord of the manor.
Mick?![]()
Bora Milutinovic - I was thinking along the same lines, however I think the next manager will be Irish or British, I don't think a continental manager would work.Originally Posted by CollegeTillIDie

Martin O'Neill has to be the first name on the sheet, David O'Leary is the only other obvious Irish born candidate other than Ian Dowie.
Steve Coppell and Sam Allardyce would be my top British candidates.
Ronnie Whelan mooted Quinny & Peter Reid joint managers on Sky just now, I wouldnt fancy that.
If it was to be a non-Irish or non-British man, I'd pick Mira Lucescu
i don't think there'll be too many interested in the job.
hardly an attractive position
i do hope Kerr falls on his sword now ... to save us any more agro
