God ,.this is depressing , all the same crap failed or won nothing ever english managers being bandied around bang on q !!!

    Wim Jansen is available
Phillip Trossier -I wanted him last time ,would still prefer him
Watch Gus Hiddinck dump the aussies in a flash if offered the job
Otto hitzfeld is dying to get into International management

We don't need to keep our expectations as low as sam flamin allerdyce in all fairness.Just what we need ,a return to Hoofball.

We need someone with European experience and a football pedigree ,someone who will come in and take the youth we have and make them better players ...players are not progressing under the muppetry of givens ...its sad that someone like kerr , who made his name with youth , didn't have the balls or cop-on to blood some of the youngsters in friendlies

You'd have to change your name to "O'Neill's Tribe" then.
It's the end of KT as we know her.

surely has to be martin o'neill. and it could possibly suit him as it would only be part -time which means that he would still be able t look after his wife as well as mnaging ireland.
Also he has stated before that he would ike to do the job one da. y

i respect kerr for what he has done but he has been too negative tactically and that was our downfall. i think with players that we have now we are always gonna struggle to beat any decent team like france or switzerland.

what you dont do is replace an injured robbie keane with graham kavanagh and switch to 4-5-1 with 60 mins left in a home game to israel. and you should not tell your players to sit on a 1 goal lead away to a team like israel, who are bad but not totally cr ap.

same with cyprus-the players are not motivated by the man and its time to go.

Of course mccarthy made similar gaffs but survived I think due to a wave of optimism about new players coming through etc. Remember Iceland at home, 2x Macedonia, Croatia away, Yugoslavia away. He got the tactics completely wrong those nights but survived. Our team was just that little bit better back then.

Kerr just seems to be out of his depth. Good luck to him in the future but theres no way he'll get a new contract

Hiddink wouldn't be a bad idea. I don't think Martin O'Neil would be interested.

I agree that the Paddy Power list of alternative managers is very depressing - every failed two bit manager from the UK.

We have serious probalems in midfield which i doubt any manager could solve.

in all fairness instead of asking who we think should get the job i think the real question is who would want the job after that performance last night absolutely attrocious.

I think the opposite. It's the perfect job for someone to come into now. Especially if the FAI pick some failed muthafcuker from across the pond. Think of the scenario,
Howard Wilkinson and Steve Cotterill applying! Ha!

Or Peter Reid applying for it, gets us to a play-off, able to say he brought us back to where we belong and then gets the first Premiership job thats comes up. Fcuk that.
Here they come! It’s the charge of the “Thanks” Brigade!

I'd go for Martin O'Neill, albeit grudgingly. O'Neill is just a glorified long-ball merchant as far as I'm concerned (remember, we won't have any Suttons/Hartsons to use as target men). But his motivational and organisational skills are excellent. We need a coach who will get the best out of limited players, because that is what we will be working with over the next 4 years. And based on his success with some pretty average players at Celtic, he may be the man.

Other than that I'd like to see a technical coach appointed, someone who will get us to play football and at least have a go. No more negative managers please

Just for the record: Hiddink only manages the Aussies on a part-time basis AFAIK, as he still coaches PSV. Great coach that he is, do we want a part-time coach?
