according to that the swiss are going to play 4-1-2-1-2 . There could be rich pickings out on the wings for us if they're serious.
" I wish to God that someone would be able to block out the voices in my head for five minutes, the voices that scream, over and over again: "Why do they come to me to die?"

Not being smart Lionel but that is the system they've been using for the last two campaigns (or since the Kuhn took over anyway).
Wasn't it because of this kind of system that BK bemoaned our lack of adaptability (versatility is proabably a better word!) .
Anyway the point is we have faced this system before and hasn't really done us much good. The fact that Duffer is out may mean 3 centre midfielders with Andy Reid "floating" around.
Which almost certainly mean a midfield of

Holland (holding) Kavanagh and Kilbane with Andy Reid playing behind the front two.
Here they come! It’s the charge of the “Thanks” Brigade!

If you recall the Basle game in 2003, and I know many would rather not .. but Finnan made a slight difference when he came on, because he stuck to playing out wide. I think we have to stretch them and it will leave gaps hopefully in the middle. They tend to keep it all tight and pull us our defenders out of position with little one twos .. like Yakin's goals in the last two games.

I'd like to see Finnan and Kilbane on the wings, and hugging the touchline and whipping in crosses and testing that dodgy keeper. Andy Reid and Holland in the centre.
