Mick McCarthy had no real managerial experience when he got the job, except at a lower league level with Englands finest trashkickers, Millwall; Brian Kerrs achievements were with kids, and amateurs at Pats before he got the job. He also had zero experience of dealing with professionals and has a serious speech impediment.

Why shouldn't the FAI continue their trend of giving the job to inexperienced gobdaws....its what we've come to expect.

What a load of crap probably started by the English media to upset us to make we don't make the playoffs and knock out FC Beckham. There is very little Kerr could have done differently he needs more time Mourniho would struggle to get results out of the current Irish squad.

I can't believe you would say something like that. If Kerr has a speech impediment because he has a common Dublin accent, I fear what people think of me. It must be the only country where you have to change your accent to get more respect.

Would Keane turn up for the "meaningless" friendlies if he became manager or would Chris Hughton have to look after them ??

This is all newspapers filling columns and should be ignored. We have a manager. We have two vital qualifiers. Please put this all to bed until they're over.

I can actually see Keane going to manage Notts Forest at some stage in the near future, the Ireland job or the Man utd job are way out of his depth at this stage.
