Derry will play Rovers, Pats, Shels Bohs and Galway at the GAAstadium. Wonder what the capacity will be and how close to reaching capacity they will get. If they are going well it's a great opportunity for them to showcase and attract new fans. On the other hand most GAA grounds are uncovered and lack atmosphere

I think with Pats another point is that the club themselves haven't exactly been promoting it as they would a cup final or something of that ilk. Believe there was a point in mid-to-late January where they went basically a full week without any kind of post about it on social media, which is quite fitting considering the general mood of the fan base.

Can it reach 25k with only the lower bowl open? Is premium open as well?

With all the 3,000 seating taken up at the RSC, there seemed to be a big amount of the fans standing around the perimeter surroundings, well into the high hundreds adding more to that figure I suspect!

Celtic Park has a safety cert for 14,000 - maybe the question for Derry is whether it gets past half full?
Enough seats for all season ticket holders we are told. Other fans and away supporters on terracing (uncovered).

So the Bohs shirt is a replica one from the 70s, well its still not a good one. I love seeing clubs honour their past in such a way but adapt a bit if they dont look right in the current context. It seems the general consensus is that this one doesnt work that well.*Dya know looking at picss today its not as bad as my impression from the live game. Either its grown on me or the game in general influenced opinion. It is just a retro 70s look and no big sponsor helps. But odd for Kenny to be wearing a jumper that could have been a Bohs strip, certainly the colours, supersaint or not.

reason why Nesta SK was wearing that jumper was because of sad passing of Damien Byrne recently. Neil O Riordan explained this in the Irish Sun today.
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

Athone crowd jumps out, any particularl reason for the sudden jump in active support. Cork's better than much of last season - they only sing when they are winning! Derry need to justify the support and hope they have going in to this season, it has to be their year sometime.

Athlone crowd was good alright, must have been 200 Harps fans in that though.

286, which is decent by their recent benchmarks. 837 at St Colman's Park.
