Incidentally, that win against Belgium is the U17s first win in the first qualifying round in three years, since beating Finland and Northern Ireland in the first round of qualifying for the 2023 tournament - seven games in the first round since then, including the France game, and seven losses.

Germany beat Sweden 2-1 in the other game in the group yesterday. We'll need to beat Sweden in the final group game on Thursday in Stockholm to avoid finishing bottom of the group and getting relegated to League B in the first qualifying round for next year's tournament. Both teams are on zero points, but Sweden are ahead of us after scoring three goals in the group
