The last two goals we did score were from Williams playing as a winger too.

Not too be a gowl....but I thought us chirping at our own players was bad form. Fair enough if we had a bunch of mercenaries jogging around like a few years ago...but it seems bad form roaring at 18 and 19 year olds!!!

Having said that, I'm absolutely sickened today. That was a poor Athlone side missing a lot of players. We were all over them in the first half - Dan McKenna was skinning lads all round him.
Then the first bad mistake Kian Moore has made all season and two soft yellows and we are completely goosed.

Wasn't in the away end so can't comment on how much stick players did or didn't get but can fully understand why people were annoyed. I think we brought huge and unneeded pressure on ourselves by deciding to rest 5 key players on Friday, as I said in the previous post, if you're doing that you better make sure you win at least 1 of the 2 games.

Some good balanced analysis from "De Town". I've pointed out a lot recently just how much time Williams and Murtagh and spending out wide, they showed against Wexford how deadly they can be when in close prximity to one another, they've rarely found each other on the pitch since.

Something not highlighted yet is our bench, it's killing us. There's two players in particular who regugarly come on and barely get a kick, they don;'t even appear to be trying which is most frustrating. I'd rather call up a few underage lads to sit on the bench than send out the message that no matter how poor you are you'll get a few minutes.

Doran (even though he should be starting), Ugbesia and Paraschiv are grand options to bring on. There's new lads there too that I can't speak much of. But the 2 lads just haven't offered anything and I couldn't understand how they were kept on from last season. It just makes it all the sadder that we don't have Manny, because if we could have brought him on the last 3 games you'd feel there's a chance, since he knew where the net was

Paraschiv has been a huge disappointment so far. He isn't suited to playing off the left though. I didn't see us Friday but apparantly he was very good through the middle. We've actually too many CM options.

I haven't written him off yet, he hasn't been given much time. He needs a run of games first I think

Hough actually did well on friday too I forgot he had started.
