    2025 Licensing

Presumably the Premier and First Division licences will be announced in the week following the FAI Cup final, as has become tradition in recent seasons, the major questions being about Dundalk's status, and whether the third tier licensing will also be finalised at the same time?

For Dundalk fans licence announcement day is going to feel a bit like a European draw day except the stakes are higher. Now maybe in the mean time there will be clues on how things might go like confirming the retention of Kilduff, pitch and floodlight tenders out. But until a PD licence is confirmed I wont be expecting it!

If the License process was a driving test, Dundalk are turning up in Del Boy and Rodney's 3 wheeler.

What is the craic with Dundalk out of interest? I know Kilduff left (and maybe didn't) and there's various concerns, but is there any tangible reports at the moment?

We are going to win the league next year.

Which league it is, is still up in the air.

Seemingly a u-turn of sorts over weekend, as a significant US based shareholder flew in for talks and CK appears happier about funding / set up for 2026 now.

Would still imagine a lot of work required on the licence, new pitch and lights required (500K grant secured) but more will be needed to add to that, assurances of funding, away end, budget, players, its a long list, but if this was an application under Temple's remit alone and after his car crash podcast on Tues, it would have been a flat No in my view re the Licence, now there is a good chance as seems agreements are in place within the shareholders working together, and dirty laundry has stopped. Will this be enough to get PD one?

    We shall see.
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), only Irish club to win a game / points in Europa League Group Stage (2016).

Oh sure there's nothing to see here at all, not even the civil war between fans on which was the least worse ownership option. Some people seriously dislike any yank association and if they were billionaire lifelong fans paying for a new stadium they'd be unwelcome.

Treaty lost nearly a million quid in 2024 apparently. Crazy money for a part time team in a second tier.

But would the shinners involved not lose their sh1t along with all the other lefties? Im a selfish Dundalk fan, football is for football stuff. None of this Id rather be in the 1st division than owned by yanks bs. Maybe they share notes on the wilding of our respective ground...

    How is that even possible?

They must have zero income streams. Crazy from Irelands 3rd biggest urban area.

    Their debt is €1.2million.

Soccer in Munster is really bananas.

I think Treaty are putting significant money into their women’s team aswell, some losses accrued for a First Division club though and I’d say they’re not the only one…..
