Noticeable absentees are George Moloney in goal and Victor Ozhianvuna. You're talking about probably their best player and their starting keeper. Pretty disappointing

If Ozhianvuna was named in this squad, could he still play in the U17 World Cup in November?

As long as Rovers are willing to let him play both. He's not really playing for Rovers so I don't see why they wouldn't want him to feature for both teams. Noonan will play for the 21s in this window and the u17s in the world cup just after.

Had another few thoughts on other interesting players not in the squad:

    1. Brody Collins
    2. Desmond Armstrong
    3. Josh Harpur
    4. Richard Ferizaj
    5. Matteo Secondino

Harpur is the team’s most prolific striker. Himself and Ben Mahon are both very good.

Dessie Armstrong is the third option there, he maybe hasn’t been as prolific at the level but he’s very young for it (born at the end of the year) and I’ve heard Rovers coaches say that he’s as talented as his older brother and he’s on the radar for clubs across Europe.

Brody Collins - a cousin of Nathan, the centre midfielder was on trial at Hoffenheim together with Dessie Armstrong before signing for Schalke in the summer. He’s an u17 there and seems to be getting off to a good start.

Richard Ferizaj - considered highly, similar to his brother. Pretty much a mainstay for the 15s and 16s and playing for Bray fairly regularly.

Matteo Secondino - no idea if he’s actually any good but the player tracker type things love him. Playing underage for a Czech team and has never been capped at any level.

Armstrong is named in Rovers' European squad, won't turn 16 until the end of November
