But yes Cian Byrne was immense for us and is missed almost as much as Dyer.
I seen that stat earlier and I'm pretty sure it was away goals

You have Cork at home Friday. Last game Waterford v Galway could be very interesting

Id definitely have Waterford as the most likely to end up in the playoff. Their current form is dreadful. I’d interested to know what anyone more familiar with the first division thinks if any of the teams in the mix have the potential to win the playoff final.

While it seems unlikely Cork will catch us, an in-form First Division play off winner could beat us in the Playoff.
    NIIIGELLLL!!!

That stat is mad. In fear of being accused of being too....retrospective...the keep it mean away and go for it at home tendency catches up. The play-off looks a lot less daunting with Galway than Sligo for whomever gets there from the 1st division. Confdence shot, run off losses, goals hard to come by. Its real wheels falling off stuff and it didnt look like Galway would actually be sucked in that long ago, that there was just enough in the bank. Waterford are looking over the shoulder in a big way too, backs to the wall and Galway might just eek out a scrappy win and make it nervous.

I think its very possible but I would be putting money on it. Doesnt really answer much. Bray are a better side than Cobh imo, I dont like playing UCD ever. If Treaty do end up getting through well I dont think they'd manage much more than a good effort. Dundalk end up there, I think we'd compete, i feared Sligo a lot more, Waterford are due a play-off win but sure if we put Jeff McNamara sitting on the bench we'd be grand, just his presence. Galway away from ED Park Id back us.

Apologies, just double checked the stat, it’s away from home. Still a mad one!

No current Galway United player has scored a non-penalty away goal since February. All goals since were scored by Moses Dyer or Cian Byrne.

A DVD on how to score would be a great help.

Waterford have 8 points from their last 11. Galway have 3.

The run in will be very interesting. Of course it will all depend on the who either play in the relegation playoff final.

Still a long way to go. Galway beat Cork on Friday night and they go back ahead of us again.

Absolutely. Surprisingly comfortable to be honest. Don't know whether we were that good or Cork were that bad. I think they allowed us to play more than Galway did, and we were good enough to take full advantage. Mason Melia should have had a hat trick, if not four. Thought Kenny might have given him a few more minutes to see if he could get the his third, with it being his birthday and all.
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.

Thoughts and prayers with the Galway fans, tough few days for them.

Pats played like prime Barcelona this evening. A thoroughly enjoyable time was had.

Yup, looking at GD and it really is Waterford in trouble if Galway win at home to Cork which is a close to a must win as ye get. A lot depends on say Rovers having bagged the title/cup final and not too bothered about their game v Galway/Sligo, with European prep, party mode. European qualification makes games against 2-6th full war face on for them and Sligo have Derry, Pats, Shels. Its is too early to call much really. Will certainly be intriguing.

Good 3 points for Rovers tonight, should seal the title for yet another season.
Our inability to close out games convincingly needs to be addressed for our next big game coming up against Sparta Prague.
Look to be between Waterford and Galway for the playoff spot now, albeit id expect either to comfortably see off 1st division opposition

From what I've seen I wouldn't hold out much hope for any of them including us.
Based on games against ourselves Bray are a better team than Cobh, and we are just a tad better than both of them

I watched this and couldn't believe how poor Shels were
They had all the ball just passing over and back, and Drogheda were happy enough to sit in and they never troubled them at all really

There's no guarantee there at all. It was a struggle of a match back in May against them (one of our last wins) and they beat us in august.

If we'd taken half the clear cut chances we had Friday night it would have been much the same outcome as last night

Is there a reason Galway have 4 of the last 5 games at home? Maybe I missed something but it seems a bit mad ….
