    U23 Players 2025/26

Not a lot to mention in the U18 Premier League this season, and those numbers will continue to drop.
Jaden Umeh is starting for Benfica in the UEFA Youth League against Qarabag this morning.

A few other players to watch out for in this season's tournament are Rory Finneran at Newcastle, Harry McGlinchey at Chelsea, David Dunne at Monaco, and possibly Oliver Tevenan at Man City, and of course Shels are playing Rabotnichki tomorrow.
The cut off date for the tournament is 1st January 2007, so Trent Kone Doherty(b. June 2006) is technically ineligible, but there is a provision to allow five players born after 1st January 2006 to squads under certain conditions

Incidentally, Umeh is already playing, and scoring, for Benfica's U23 side

He's very good. Never played competitively for either team so theoretically he could be play for us easily. If I were Colin O'Brien, I'd try have him in the next squad ahead of the u17 World Cup

Forgot about Kyle Fitzgerald at Newcastle, he's starting alongside Finneran against Barcelona's U19s today

Also, Grady McDonnell is named as a sub for Club Brugge. I thought he was with their Challenger Pro side Club NXT again this season, but maybe he's allowed to play for Brugge's U19?

Watched the United u21 game that he played against Liverpool a month or two ago. Was playing CB. The best players on the pitch were both Ireland eligible. Joe Bradshaw who played for the same team who are in the u17 world cup right now at u15 level. Represented England at U16 level but hasn't played competitively for either side. He was Liverpool's best player on the day, probably followed by Mick Laffey (no idea if he's eligible). United's best player was another scouser Shea Lacey.

As for Devaney, slightly weird that he's a centre midfielder who is playing for Ireland u21 at RB and United u21 at CB, both teams well above his age group.

His younger brother (Joel?) is playing alongside Richie Dunne's son (Tayo) at Barnsley. Tayo was an Ireland u15 with the lads who are now at the u17 world cup.
