Shocking from us. Have to question how much more up for it they were compared to us. Would have taken a weekend where we kept other teams at arms length which we pretty much did but dissapointing after Fridays results to not gain ground

Jeez cobh only 1 point off dundalk. Wouldn't want to be playing sligo in a playoff, dundalk better get the finger out or the stay in div 1 could become a lengthy one, miss out this year and it's competing with Cork the next .

That was a mad game in Sligo. Sligo were probably the better team overall but I don't know how we missed some of those chances. Dyer suspended now, but the new lad Shaw looks well able to replace him

Absolutely. Plus next up on Friday is Cobh coming up Oriel Park.

Feeling strangely upbeat after that Pats defeat tonight due to a combination of becoming accustomed to it and also it being the best they’ve played in a good while. The last 2 home games now the opposition have been limited to 1 shot on target and Pats have lost both. I don’t know about the exact percentages but I’d imagine that’s a very very rare likelihood of results when limiting opposition to that few chances. The goal in both games came from the Pats left back following the winger into the box instead of passing them on to the centre back, and then leaving the over lapping right back the freedom of Inchicore to put the ball in the box resulting in the goal. Take nothing away from the goal from a Derry point of view though, well worked move and an excellent delivery from Boyce. No points to show for it of course but there was a lot more positives to take from that game from a Pats point of view performance wise than several recent games combined

The 2 reds were very harsh. Stupid what they were at but no one would have complained with 2 yellows. Thought we were better 10 on 10 but had to survive some mad scrambles.

Six points in four days from Dublin, that'll do.

Pat's were excellent in the first 15 minutes. Was worried, but then we settled into game. Our goal was a lovely series of passes, great play.
We were defensively solid in the second half, but I don't think we'd often get away with playing like that for extended periods of play. We picked up six bookings tonight too, with Liam Boyce and Ferguson now suspended on Friday.

I thought Mulraney was excellent when he came on, you'd wonder why he doesn't get more minutes.

I thought we played a lot better compared to last Friday. We deserved at least a draw from the game tonight. It’s going to be a huge struggle to qualify for Europe this year but if we can bring in a midfielder in the window it would give us a chance.

To say that performance tonight and the one against Waterford were chalk and cheese would be an understatement. Bohs were fantastic in the first half tonight. Probably the best I've seen a Bohs team play since we last won the league. Rovers had no answers to the press and their CBs seemed to make mistake after mistakes. The second half Bohs took their foot off the gas and let Rovers come at them a bit but Bohs still arguably had the best chances of the half with one cleared off the line. Only 1 team wanted to win that game tonight and they deservedly won it. I don't know who was given player of the match but if it went to any of Clarke, Tierney, Devoy or Rooney I'm happy. Also special mention to Niall Morahan, he is a bit of a Swiss army knife for us and I don't think he's put in a bad performance all season. Great player to have in the squad and I can see why he was captain at Sligo, a real lead by example player.

Mulraney is one of the chief culprits for our poor season. He regularly goes missing in games and looks like he doesn’t give a toss. He had the talent but needs to improve his attitude.

Congrats to boez tonight, fully justified in taking the 3 points.

The pressure was on after Friday. Timing of a 1st loss was always going to be a thing. Prior to playing Bray may not be the worst, havent been playing well, support has become complacent. Kick in the ars£ needed. It was never going to be a promotion procession and would have us 2nd favourites and no more, not just a fearful fan thing, you just look at the squad profiles in age alone. Its 1st or another season in the 1st Division and this division is only growing in difficulty to get out of as side improve and ft sides get relegated.

Would be taking a point up in Oriel now if offered, although it'll be interesting to see how Dundalk respond to the loss. Cobh playing some nice football away from home though so who knows.

Great to see Bohs get a result for the same if the league, end of last season had a few teams fighting to the death and it created some interest. It still looks like Rovers are too far ahead though.

Good night in the Lomboto household, winners scored by Gradi and Francely in their games,we dug out a win with some solid defending and good goalkeeping,Dundalk had a lot of the ball but their big players didn’t really show,1st win in 10 for us and an interesting title race in store ….

Longford follow up a first away win of the season (and in almost a full 12 months) with their first win over Athlone in 11 and a first set of back to back wins under this manager and since 2023. Big win.

Because he's been dog sh1t in general. Like most of the cowards out there this season.
