"stadium falling down." It was damaged in a storm. It's by far and away the best ground in the division maintained by volunteers, but then again they are all just losers with no experience in the game
Meant to say earlier, I was very impressed with UCD on Fri, they were one of the best sides to visit OP this season, Treaty were the other one I liked.
For half of the second half UCD looked to be the better side, definitely full value for a share of the spoils. Glad we don't have them for 9 more games !
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), only Irish club to win a game / points in Europa League Group Stage (2016).
At least they came and played ball unlike a lot of sides that play against us that sit in for the whole match and hope for one phase of play that might grab them a draw. As dlk fc posted earlier up the page, ref totally ruined the game.he wasn't pulling out cards in fairness but was constant stop/starting the match for fouls that nobody else seen and has obviously never heard of the advantage rule for the soft ones.
Shake up of the squad needed at this stage as we're looking very stale and thankfully killer has moved with the signing of JR Wilson and led to believe a winger and striker signings to be made this week.
PS
Even though it passes me off to say, thought Ronan Finn was excellent. Took all the flak he got from Dundalk fans in good spirit
Some clanger from Dundalks keeper on Friday night….
Irish by birth ,Harps by the grace of god.
Shels one up in Inchicore ,Pats very poor in defending it has to be said….

Great 6 points for Rovers to collect over the weekend. It's up to boez to stop Rovers winning this league by the looks of it.
A shame for drogs players and fans not to have a European away trip this season, they have no control over how their club owner's run their business. On the plus side ,given the paucity of challengers for the European spots they have as good a chance as anyone of finishing in the top 3/4.
Engaging if low enough in quality game in Inchicore,Shels did what they had to as the away side,Pats for some of the attacking quality they have were very disappointing, could very well have snatched a draw in the second half but they weren't very convincing....

Abysmal first half from Pats tonight. The worst half of football in possession of the ball all season from them. The defending for the goal was shocking and likewise for a Boyd chance a few minutes after that which was Shels last shot of any kind in the game until injury time when Gannon put one out for a throw in. The three subs at half time worked to a degree and the entire half was just attack vs defence and I thought Pats should’ve nicked an equaliser. Kearns made a few brilliant saves from Keena and one from Baggley in particular which I thought he should’ve buried. Seems to be a bit of a mentality issue with Pats this year where by they can’t seem to play well for more than 45 minutes in most games and it needs addressing

Just watched the highlight on YouTube, for what Doherty described as a controversial decision for the free you'd think it would be in the highlights. Maybe it was so bad they were told to keep it out?
The ball clipped Quinn's hand, one of those where he's running and his arm has kind of hit the ball but it's a natural running action. But if it didn't hit his hand it's probably running through to Burke so I can see why it was given, it was the lino who spotted it not the ref.
