    Olly ONeill

Not often I post new threads ere but was watching Leyton Orient Stockport County playoff game. Saw a screamer of a goal from Ireland U21 player Olly ONeill and it was only when I googled him that I realised that he played for Derry City in 2023 season.

I was wondering from the Derry City fans that post here what was he like with Derry as I never heard of him before?

Also great to see Josh Keeley play so well for Orient and him an ex St Pats GK!
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

Played roughly 20 games or so. Majority of the games he was either taken off or came on late on. Cant remember him playing many full games. He would have played on the left replacing Mickey Duffy quite a bit as he was start/stop during the season sustaining a broken leg and calf problem.

I remember he scored against UCD away and that was his only goal.

He was touted as having great potential and being able to snag an Under21 international and Fulham U21 I probably expected more. I didn't see the quality from him that I expected. Overall it was mediocre Loan spell at the club. That could be put down to many factors like being a new place, taking time to settle, the league being full of men and him maybe being fairly raw.

Didn't realise he played that many. Thought he only played a few. Thought he was going to light up the league at the time. Had assumed he had dropped off the radar altogeher. Good to hear he's doing well
