REPORT....
Two goals from Eric Lavine inspired Galway United to all three points in a low-profile First Division clash at Golden Island Park on Friday night.
The former Longford Town favourite put his side in front five minutes before the break and doubled the lead shortly after the hour mark.
Athlone finished the game with 10 men after the dismissal of former Galway defender Tom Silke on 73 minutes.
The midlanders remain seven points adrift at the foot of the table, while will not be enough to help Galway make a belated entrance to the promotion race.

Yes they all were good and could have won it by more tbh.Eric scored twice and held up the ball really well so IMO deserved a 10/10.Originally Posted by jambo08
