Just looked back at this on LOITV. It looks to me that the player clearly has his left foot on the line.

Agreed. 13 points from the first 7 games this year compared to 7 from the first 7 last year is more like it and to be top is obviously a bonus. There’s several more gears to be gone up though as you say which can only be a positive given the position in the table at the moment

That was a sickener for Waterford at RSC last night. Looked like we were holding on for the win after Amond's super header in the first half .Then Leahy heads one in his own net and a couple of minutes later a great free kick from Kavanagh to win it. We didn't deserve to lose but that's football. 3 defeats in a row now but if we had held on for the in we would have been 1 point off the top which shows how tight the league is at moment.

we were haunted v drogs. happily take that point.
reynolds surely gone now from bohs. its always easy to look in from the outside and hindsight is 20/20 but bohs should have stuck with long. it would probably cost them a bit but i think hed work well with the squad thats built there now.

It had gotten very stale under Long and the fans were starting to get nasty with him too unfortunately. Don't think we could afford to sack Reynolds and bring Long back.

If the fiances on offer were good, could go sniffing around United Park and turn Doherty's head. People will cite Europe and league positions bt money talks.

Looked a bit of a ropey penalty, but the second goal was a decent counter attack with a lovely finish.

Bar Dundalk and Cobh, it's a tight division.

Wayne Groves has done a decent job with no money since he took over from Henderson. A very young team.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

I think we’ll get better as it goes into the summer and the pitches improve. Didn’t think the RSC pitch was great the other night. The other factor is that Elbouzedi, and especially Mulraney, haven’t hit the level they were at from the summer onwards last year. Lot more to come from the team I would think. Jamie Lennon coming back should help as well. We looked a little vulnerable in the middle in his absence.
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.

The first division is so tight, Dundalk aside. Looking forward to a good contest tonight between UCD and Bray, will be hard to predict.

Successive minutes at the Bowl -

Seán Brennan booked for a foul on the edge of the area
Great save from the free, but a penalty given from the resulting scramble
    Peno scored
Seán Brennan booked again for what I thought was a fairly daft obstruction, especially when on a yellow

It may be crap, but it's not dull!

Edit - and now our keeper's injured

Groves does deserve credit for what he,s done .went to the game Sat and you can see the squad is giving their all ,by far the better team and as a Treaty fan it was despite our rather miserable efforts refreshing to see Longfords very young team playing with confidence and to a plan.Thats in stark contrast to what we produced and unlike Groves all we get afterwards are excuses.

Playing three quarters of the game with ten men didn't help in fairness. Thought it was an even enough game despite being a man down, which is a positive

We have played five of seven games on an unplayable pitch, which isn't helping. And I think we're still missing a 15+ goal striker like last year

What is the story with Raggett. Was among the the goals last year but not starting a lot of matches this season. I liked what I saw of him.

Why was UCD playing yesterday as a matter of curiousity?
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

Postponed from a few weeks ago when a few games were rained off.

(And it was technically a Bray home game, which was moved to the Bowl as the Carlisle was still being relaid)
