Omly havin a bit of banter, calm down will ya!! BTW Keith Gilroy...name anyone thats played for merville and gone to a premiership club
just cos he went to middleborough doesnt make him any better of a player than any of the lads that are at the club now !
Gavin Dykes , Stephen Rooney went to England on trials if I not mistaken.Originally Posted by feo123

Conor O'Grady too, this going to England thing is a bit over rated though
Have to agree with you. Why would some one want to go to England and play for some league 2 club when they have a chance to play European football with an Irish club? I'm sure the money is better in Ireland then some of those English clubs tooOriginally Posted by gustavo
feo123 was only having a laugh lads....calm down.Perhaps a quick read through the Songs for Saturday section will cheer ye all up.

No Trumpet Blowing, but Merville is a current Base for Sligo Leitrim U15s, which feature a couple of Calry Lads I believe!Twelve Clubs in total are represented, coached by the Merville Coaches IN THIER SPARE TIME!

So proceeds from such events as above really do have an effect across the region, with the planned proceeds of tonight going to buy some sand to keep the place playable!
That one for the kids thread! As for rovers, quite a few ex Merville Players are currently at the showgies, at u18, u21 and senior, which is why I am on here!![]()
