Time to go to Spec Savers! 🤓

Noticed that last night, I don't know what it is, floodlights looked grand from the road, didn't notice any blown bulbs but it's just so dark..I think it could be the lack of lights behind the two goals, that back pitch is in total darkness and even the car park after games is very dimly lit

I was thinking the VM highlights were nostalgia like from European clips late 80s/90s last night, that dimmer orange like lighting rather than the whiter higher lux modern type. Just assumed it was the camera quality or run through some program to clean up footage and that was the end product but maybe it was a general broadcast thing, I know little about TV production. I know that floodlights have to be a certain standard for licencing as Dundalk are in a race to get them sorted in Oriel for PD.

I though the home crowd in the RSC looked sparce considering the importance of every game in the play-off battle.

Its was a home cup semi final and in a winter season but we won the league in front of 1500 or so in 1994. 1500 became our average gate in the 1st Division after 2002. The only way to really attract more to games is winning, unless you are a bee keeping society like Bohs.

% of population going to games across Europe, LoI is bang on or ahead of trend including Longford...probably as I havent looked up population or average gate.
Not for us it was ! Gates were never those numbers we got in SKs last full season. Think there was a drop of at least 2.5k per game
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

About 200 Dundalk fans in Cobh last night.

2243 was the attendance at RSC with around 30 Derry fans.
