Killian Barrett is a young Irish keeper with an interesting career journey to this point. Moved over to the UK from County Sligo to try and make a career for himself and played for a few non-league teams way down the pyramid before getting picked up by Sheffield Wednesday for their academy. Went on loan to Solihull in the National League in December and has made enough of an impression already that he seems to have generated some interest from League 1 clubs who think he's ready to step up to league football.
We've looked at about five keepers for the next Under 21 campaign in squads so far and he isn't one of them but he could be a dark horse to take the jersey if he keeps developing at his current rate.
Wednesday don't have a decent first team keeper (their No.1 is a loanee from Brighton) so if he's any good he would be a keeper![]()
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.
It's not a proper pun unless it makes someone groan. Well done, Owlsfan.
