If Nigel is correct, and Andy Spain has decided to move on, Seán McGrath would seem the logical captain - a local lad who's been virtually ever-present since the club was founded, and is well on course to record a century of appearances this season, both overall and in the league alone.
Kelliher and McGrath were the statement re-signings announced first. They could both potentially be captain and vice captain if they are showing leadership amongst the group.
After two full seasons, someone will have to make a big impression to come in as captain. Ideally a centre back or central midfielder would be captain. Need leadership in defence. Kelliher and McGrath seem the standout choices from performances over two years. Leading from the front.

And he's been confirmed as captain for the full season now.
Very sensible from the management team. We have had our two previous Captains move on after the Season. Kelliher seemed like a top choice too, but if he hits the same targets or higher, the chances of him staying are slim at the end of the year and you could see Mcgrath here for at least another year.
