2025 Season (Women)

Kylie Murphy returns as captain for 2025 and Ellen Molloy confirmed as also returning. Latter signing probably transforms our season in one fell swoop.

Not announced by either club as far as I know, but Aoife Kelly (ex-Shamrock Rovers) is described as a Wexford FC Women player on the FAI website as part of the Irish U19 team to play the Irish Development Team shortly. Nineteen other players have been announced by Wexford so far:- Becky Cassin, Lolly Conlon, Millie Daly, Freya DeMange, Della Doherty, Lauren Dwyer, Grace Fitzpatrick-Ryan, Rianna Jarrett, Lauren Kelly, Michaela Lawrence, Teegan Lynch, Leah McGrath, Jayne Merren, Ellen Molloy, Siun Murdiff, Kylie Murphy, Ciara Rossiter, Jenny Ryan and Aine Walsh.

Just to add my tribute to Nicola Sinnott who has announced her retirement after 277 games for Wexford FC/Wexford Youths. She has finished with a remarkable haul of 4 league titles and 4 Cup winners' medals. The best right-full of her generation playing domestically, BAR NONE, she had every left-sided player in her pocket for season after season and was also a most composed distributor of the football. During these seasons, when about half the senior international squad was sourced from the domestic league, her measly one Irish cap (according to Wikipedia, I thought it was two!) was an absolute f....n disgrace. Very pleased to add my thanks to Nicola for the unbelievable quality she displayed on the pitch for Wexford for so many seasons!
