His rise from non-League to Championship in the space of a year has been quite remarkable. For someone who's stats werent all that remarkable in the non-League. Great move. Almost 25 so hard to say what he can do for our MNT but will be one to watch now. (Vardy-esque trajectory?)
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

Jake O'Brien could do with a loan as well.

Owen Oseni, a 21 year old who is third top scorer in the National League for Gateshead has signed for St
    Mirren this morning.
Fair to say the January transfer window came in well above expectations from an Irish perspective. Ferguson got his loan, a big money move for Cannon, a surprise Premier League move for Cashin, Omobamidele and Finn to Ligue 1, Ebosele to Turkey, Bazunu to Belgium, Alli and Abankwah to the Championship, Travers as well, likely more football for Egan at Hull and Connolly at Millwall, Curtis and Oseni to the SPL, Murphy and Gilbert hopefully to consistent senior football in League 1. And Jake O'Brien no longer needing a loan because he's in the Everton first team. A really good month.

Full list of transfers, loans, and contracts for Republic of Ireland players in January and February 2025
    https://irish-abroad.appspot.com/blo...loans-and.html

    Few other things to note
Franco Umeh was set to leave on loan but picked up an injury playing for Palace's U21s
There's reports that Mayo FC have sold midfield player Matteo Secondino to Czech Republic side FK Teplice, but neither club have confirmed the move
Newcastle were supposed to confirm the signing of Kyle Fitzgerald last week, but so far neither the player, the club, or his current club Galway have confirmed it

I didn't see this one but Ricardo Dinanga has signed for Shrewsbury in League One.

He went to Coventry from Cork City a few years back and slipped down the divisions in England. He signed for Shrewsbury from Afc Telford beneath even the Conference in the Southern League.

It's a 1.5 year deal for him. Had wondered where he had gone, hasn't had a club since last summer.

Crawley also signed Gavan Holohan (summer) and Rory Feely (Jan) too. I doubt either of those lads expected a shot off League One at this stage of their careers.

Missed this at the end of February, Ade Solanke's move to Lorient was confirmed by the French side
    https://www.fclorient.bzh/trois-renf...ement-reserve/
    (translated)
He is accompanied by Ade Solanke, an Irish U17 international left-back, trained at Shamrock Rovers (Irish Premier Division), who is continuing his high-level training at FC Lorient.
Solanke is supposed to be staying at Lorient until he turns 18, and then he'll sign for sister club Bournemouth
