Kerry incredibly will be playing their first home game in 4 weeks! In that time Kerry beat Cobh away in the cup. Kerry are disappointed then to only have taken one point on the road against the top two. Those two away games should stand Kerry in good stead ahead of a huge FAI Cup game coming up in the horizon. Kerry will have an extra two days to get ready for that.
Looking ahead to this Friday night, Kerry need to return to winning ways at home. They need a no nonsense defensive approach. Some of that early season determination and focus.
Okwute disappointed with a miss in Athlone. Other players have to take their chances. It cannot be all Kelliher.
I'm still holding out hope that Kerry can get to 36 points. If that's their current target, they'll need to pick up three points on Friday night. Some of the clubs in the playoffs are no great shakes. The management and players should be kicking themselves that they are so far behind.

This game in August was a disappointing result at the time. Only a few weeks after beating Cobh well in the cup. Cobh got their revenge I suppose. Kind of marked a drop in results for Kerry from there and 9th place slipped away.
