    Haven’t been on here in a while…

Any reason why Pat’s have stopped reporting attendances?

Does anyone have the recent numbers from our two recent trips up to Richmond Park. Even DM if there’s some reason the club doesn’t want them seen.

Just seems to be a couple of missing ones from FAI connect is all. Two of those being against Galway and the one against rovers on Friday. The Cork game in the middle of those is on the app and was the lowest of the season, so no ulterior motive with it or anything. I saw the figure for one of those 2 Galway games on Twitter at the time too

All the money was spent on these items, and it should be fairly clear by now on this, not having a go at you, but I thought it was common knowledge.

1/ Funding League title wins of 2018 and 2019.

    2/ Funding cup final appearances of 17, 18, 19 and 20 - 2 which were won.

3/ Paying up to 1m for new pitch in 2017, that now needs replaced.

4/ Settling Louth Co Co planning fees of around 500k - on top of prob same that was used to kit properly out the YDC (behind shed), its actually a huge asset, players dressing rooms for training, players gym, players canteen, reception rooms, media room - mini cinema style, club shop and 2/3 of it indoor pitches.

    5/ Player bonuses

After that to borrow the infamous G Best line 'squandered the rest'

Real shame they didn't ring fence cash for spectator facilities, but spilt milk at this stage. Personally I am embarrassed at the state of it, esp away fans, but hopefully improvements can be made, I would almost force them to do it to get a PD licence, away end.

#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), only Irish club to win a game / points in Europa League Group Stage (2016).

I always had my doubts on the figs they released, the low to mid 4k's, think I did an estimate once, and from the figs they reported, it would have meant up to 2k in Camac side on a lot of games that i saw live when those type of figs released.

Now I`m open to correction and will admit if I got it wrong, just anytime I saw a game and 4.5k etc released, it just didn't look it, seemed to be up to 1k over stated.

Not hving all toilets cleaned with soap dispensers filled and cublicles not storage areas with stacked chairs - it boggles the mind! The time it took to fix a puddle ffs. Contrary to nr's thinking, im neither justifying nor happy with how things have been. To give the current owner some due credit some of the basics are getting addressed at a time when there are least resources. Even the last 'owner' started to address things that the saviour locals didnt seem to care about. I hate training goalposts being stored behind the Carrick Road goal when they could go in to the YDC on matchnight. Its lazy, lacks attention to detail and I really think that in the past there was just a 'too important, too busy' to deal with the small stuff that is very important.
Its is a different thing to ground development though. But if the basics lack does it inspire trust in a large project being delivered without eh...complications. I have no problem being critical of aspects of Dundalk FC that merit it!
Worse, a fan group I am part of it approached the club, idea for a Saturday or something, volunteers giving up 4 hours even, I'll do it, classic Irish split stuff, the club won't engage with us !!!!

Goalposts 'fxxxed' in the corner, and exactly should be behind the YDC, pure laziness.

The 'upstairs' bar ran out of beer for the Harps game late that evening, FFS its just basics, could have kept punters there all night, they all left and headed down town.

So, the usual standard excuses, I understand.

I used to find it so strange that Dundalk fans would drink anywhere but the Lilywhite/ends McGuill given it's a way to support the club but it's stuff like that that causes people to go to Kennedy's etc.

Ainscough talked a big game about making the Lilywhite a proper venue but never delivered. Like the ground itself, it's become very old and tired looking, you wouldn't be rushing in there for a pint. After games you'd be lucky if there was 10 people in there sometimes.

Maybe they need Rockshore at Oriel, the official beer of the LOI, with its various initiatives at the grounds, such as advertising, fan engagement, and features like the "Rockshore LOI Goal of the Month" competition!

Only Derry pay VAT on gate receipts, but all LOI obv subject to Revenue payments for VAT on other incomes and they need to deduct tax from wages like every other employee in the country.

Those 2 bars at oriel are primarily for an hour before the game, HT madness, then on bigger games folk stay on for a few hours, but always head down town after. The club did make an effort for the FH game though with Eoin Kenny's brother doing the music !!! as live music the bigger Lilywhite Bar post match, but I would think both bars are mainly closed 6 other days, possibly the LW is still open Sun Nights, or for 21st parties, if they still do these.

I do get the point though, there are 2 bars that could / should be used far more for revenue. They should even look at using Lilywhite lounge for Sunday Carvery takeaways, loads of parking, why not, would do well I think.

Ya but as a reason for not declaring attendance figures, Revenue has nothing to do with it
