Don't know what you're talking about lads!😂 I was very surprised. People there I hadn't seen in years which was great. Thought the weather would put plenty off. Good atmosphere too despite the easy defeat

I know that full houses are very much the exception there, but with capacity that low they really do need to work on expanding it. At least to 1,500-2,000.

Is there somewhere they could put a low-cost stepped terrace in?
You’d wonder if Kerry are drawn at in the semi final would the desire from Kerry FC/openness from the GAA be there to move it to Austin Stack Park?

If Kerry get a home draw I hope they keep it in Mounthawk Park. Big advantage to us playing there. Moving to a Gaa ground , unfamiliar pitch and you'd probably be outnumbered by away fans.
Plus if you got 6 or 7 thousand in the gate by time you cover ground rental and away team and fai cut you'd probably be out of pocket..
    Still nice headache to have.

Good point, hadn’t thought about the gate being split anyways

Strategic plan really should be to replace the existing stand and to get a proper one all the way along the side with proper dressing. Rooms and dugouts

Yea definitely bring the stand full length and bring capacity up to 2k at least. I'd guess the big problem with development though is with one entance and exit nothing will get past planning.

I'd have said at least 2,500 there. Most packed I've seen the shed in a long time. Easily the biggest crowd there since Ollies time.

Definitely hamstrung there, but with a bit of smart planning and work with the council and Tralee Dynamos, they could potentially open another entrance above the top pitch. Having a pedstrian entrance along the greenway at the opposite end is another possibility.

Pardon my ignorance What have Tralee Dynamos got to do with it??
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

    The grounds are effectively connected.

St Brendans Park is the first ground on the left as you drive in. Dynamos is on the right and the Kdl is behind that.

Never knew that Buckett. That would make things more doable. Still hope it's in Mounthawk Park if it's at home.

Is there a reason Kerry FC don't allow standing to the right of the stand opposite the TV?

Looks like it's part of the ground and a nice grassy slope for few extra patrons.

Does the away club not have assesors involved at the gates any more for cup games? Is that an out-dated thing now?

Grass slope wouldnt be permitted. Definitely scope for them to throw a few concrete steps onto that slope and add a couple hundred to capacity.

If anywhere has companies/lads who could russle up a small concrete terrace at a reasonable price, it's Kerry.

Behind the goals town end Oriel is grass and it's allowed though
It's allowed in GAA ground too so surely they can get a certain amount on it

Quick call to Healy-Rae Plant Hire should sort things out!

They'd probably bill it to the Oireachtas as well.
