Villa have a nice decent ground in Connors Park where I played for them myself. Since I hung up my boots in the early 90s (to make the switch to the egg chasing), they have added a clubhouse, an extra artificial full sized pitch and two artificial training pitches. Although I suspect for the big games it could be Ozier Park which is next door to their ground.
I was surprised to see no representatives from Tipp given the county's track record at junior level as mentioned by the clubs above. We have used numerous Tipperary clubs like Clonmel, Carrick United, St. Michael's etc. as feeder clubs and we have support in towns like Carrick on Suir and Clonmel. One noticable absentee from your list was Thurles Town who spent a few years in the LOI back in the day (1977-82). They are still playing at the Thurles Greyhound Stadium and are in the North Tipperary District League. I thought they would have had another stab at the LOI and get into bed with Peake Villa again.
It'll be interesting to see what the FAI's expansion plans are in line with the Football Pathways Plan. If more progressive district clubs join a tier 4, would the FAI run two or three tiers for progressive clubs before it's over to provincial and district leagues to link up.

The official League website doesn't list them - either as one of their clubs, nor anywhere in their league tables ?

I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.
20 teams, one cup
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006_FIFA_Club_World_Cup
As there is no direct promotion, the 2006 FIFA Club World Cup format might suit the National League. 2nd v 3rd in quarter finals with the winners advancing to take on the north and south division winners in semi finals.
FAI National League: 10 north and 10 south.
FAI National League 2: 10 north and 10 south.
FAI National League 3: 10 north and 10 south.
Two or three tiers by the FAI, if they and progressive district clubs would commit to it, would put a strong foundation in place. Promotion - relegation between the Premier and First Division setting something of a template for promotion - relegation between the extra tiers.

I appreciate what people here are doing but I was listening to LOI Central and a man way more in the know that most here I would think Dan McDonnell saying fans were over analyising the league when in reality what it looks like and means and purpose is really yet to be settled so people should give it the space to allow it to play out and i think theres actually a real value in that
After the ..exhaustive progress.. we are only at 15 ,are the Fai sending out begging letters for the other 5.,,,or have they recommended to a few to sort out their case given they have extended the deadline til end of Jan.
I was expecting one division with probably a couple of B teams, so I'm quite surprised they have 15.
I don't think they're sending begging letters. It was mentioned that some clubs were close to reaching the requirements and so the extended deadline was for them.
They just had to release the statement about the 15 because they couldn't cope with any more fantasy lists on here
I'd agree. This is very much in 'damned if they do, damned if they don't territory' here.
The FAI appear - for once/at last - to be taking a sensible approach to analysing the ability of clubs to take a step up. Whereas in every decade prior to this the FAI/league have instead followed an approach of 'flutter your eyelids at us and you're in'. Which has led to a revolving door in the League of Ireland (and not in a good way), giving us the likes of Sporting Fingal and Cabinteely.
Now that they're finally taking a proper look at clubs, they're getting grief for ONLY having been able to find 15 prepared and willing to take a step up. Oh the shame!
A reminder that the First Division of the LOI is actually supposed to consist of 12 clubs, and has only had 10 because no-one could be found to take up the other 2 slots back a decade or so ago when they became vacant.
The fact that there are fifteen cubs interested and able to join the LOI system/pyramid is a minor miracle in my opinion. Obviously only time will tell how it all works out - both in total, and for each club individually. But I would have more faith in the ability of these teams to last the pace than I had in the very long list of chancers who've been propelled into senior footbal here over the last half a century, mostly to crash and burn.
