His uncritical defence of John Delaney (in attendance yesterday) may have earned him some criticism in later years, but John O'Regan gave over 40 years of service to the KDL as secretary, and the dedication to him of the main stand at Mounthawk Park was very much well deserved:

Well deserved in fairness. The facility probably wouldn't be there without him. Is he gone from k.d.l now?
Delaney bragging about giving clubs money though, what's that about. If your genuine just make the donation and shut up about it.

Why does the stand only go halfway on that side, wouldn't it be nicer to announce the extension of it's length along that side and then name it after John O'

Delaney told the Irish Examiner that he was delighted to be back in Kerry and he had good news for a couple of Kerry clubs.
“I gave €5,000 to Castlegregory last summer and I gave €10,000 to Castleisland, and I am giving €5,000 today, out of my own pocket.”


Any chance he could return some money back to the FAI !
