    Like:
Galway - from there...don't like the changes over the last 8 years or so
New York - go there probably once every 2 months, great spot always something new to see
    Boston - good spirit
    Prague - just beautiful

    Bad:
    Philadelphia - The pitts
LA - never been so scared in my like when I made a wrong turn
    Dublin - goes without saying

BTW I'm heading down to Sao Paolo from October 1-8 for a business trip - I'll let you all know how it is when I get back. Apparently kidnapping of tourists and especially business travelers has become a bit of an art form there. It's been nice knowin' yawl.

"Jacques Santini...will be greeted in every dugout of the country by "one-nil, one-nil" - Clive Tyldsley, 89th minute of France-England June 13, 2004.
"Ooooohhhh Nooooooo" Bobby Robson 91st minute.

@Thanks Finlma.Don't mind the the Dub he's just jealous that most people outside of Dublin hate Dublin. And BTW the last time i was in Dublin, they had pretty much everything we have, just bigger.Obviously there are exceptions(Lansdowne,Point etc)@

im not a dub conor, im a rossie!!! so when i say small minded, i know all about small mindedness!!LOL

eanna, thats a good point , and pa galway has exactly the same mentality as that, however eanna i would say galway has more @blow ins@ than anywhere else.

You can't just make a sweeping statement saying all people from one place are narrow minded. There are people everywhere like that and maybe some of them stand out more (the louder ones, like Cork people ).
Its like Irish people saying all English are evil land grabbing pillaging murderers. I know one or 2 of them that aren't

    but they are!!!LOL

in my opinion 1 or 2 exceptions indirectly infers a "fair" generalisation.

Dublin is a small city and is very easy to get around, the transport system is not the best in fairness but unlike London or Paris it has a city centre where everybody goes at night,if you're in Grafton St and you want to go to Temple Bar(god forbid) you just walk,it's no big deal, you can walk everywhere in the city centre, lor you can jump in a taxi,it's not like it was 10 years ago, there are plenty of them floating around.

there are a lot of negatives to this though however.

Went there two years ago for Carnival with a Brazilian mate. Had a massive time. I was lucky I was with someone from there as it would have scared the sh**e out of me otherwise. Some top totty though.

The problem with Dublin is that its such an almighty sprawl- its actually just a town that got surrounded by a couple of gigantic housing estates and swallowed up a few nearby villages. I've had some great times there, and I have some great friends there, but i just don't like the place. As for it being too big and too hard to get around- absolutely! Madrid has 3 times the population, but in terms of physical size, its a lot smaller and easier to get around. I love the big city mentality, but Dublin is just in a state of confusion as to what it actually is.
What would you know? You're from down the country.

Do we have a hypocrit of the month award here because i feel finlma deserves first prize cause this is the same poster that was questioning sligos ligitamcy for calling itself a City and your from Kilkenny. Whats the name of that club down there?? And the doctor wasnt murdered he fell and hit his head, fact, so get your facts together before you start tarring us with same brush.

-Sligo-no particular reason just cause its home and its got that insestious environment where you know every person on the street, lots of reasons to hate it and i understand but for people from here, they love it cause its home.
-Dublin-North siders are the soundest people you'll come across in the world and they are genuinly good naturd, they get far to much bad press. I cant stand D4 but every town has its compton. The public transport is wicked compared to here.

-Galway- after living there for far too long i just hate the town, its full of scabs who dont work and just sponge off society. All those smelly dirty b@stards who never had a wash in there lives, krustys. Those fellas who have there tight pink shirts and there spiked up fringes and most of all its poluted with clueless yanks. They dont really have trouble there and its really tidy and pritty but i just dont like the populace.

You'll soon find that no matter where you are, life becomes boring once you settle into a routine. For many people, it's a case of the grass being greener.

I've heard so many people come back from Australia saying how great their time was. All they did was temp work and get ****ed. Then they moan about Ireland because they have to face up to their responsibilities.
ah yes.a great ****nig point if i say so myself!!!!
